There are final epic battles and some troubles with magic. But, I can say too much because, well, I'm begging for a world free of spoilers. So if you haven't read the book, do it, what are you waiting for? (I assure you that it's awesome) and come back when you finish. Let's begin and scroll down my dear friend.
Spoiler Section:
Well, hello again. So, where to begin? there are so many things to say about this book. The writing, as usual is amazing. The images that crates in your head, are, to say the least, mind-blowing. In this book we know a new character. And it's so amazing that in just one book I get to love Eliza as I did. Poor girl. She went through the grinder.
She's a scientist and has a secret identity that we get to discover latter in the book. But more of Eliza in a bit.
Akiva and the rest of the angels join forces with Karou and the chimaeras to fight against Jael. An alliance that seem unlikely, because there was some bad blood there, but hope prevails and the thought of peace it's very appealing.
We spent like half of the book watching how the chimaeras and the angels manage the new arrangements of the alliance. The are some disputes, and it almost killed my beloved Liraz. Fortunately, Ziri (still in Thiago's body) arrives in time and save her. Do I smell a new romance?
But they can stay in the Kirin caves forever, and the epic ride begins. Akiva, using magic, finds something that would protect the "army of peace" from the power of the hamsas, while Karou finds a way of winning the game without bloodshed. So they end up following both plans but hell breaks loose when the army of Jael attacks.
In all the mayhem of the fight, Karou and the humans, Zuzana and Mik. end up going to earth with Akiva instead of Liraz (which was the original plan) to travel with them. Akiva feels terrible for leaving his sister behind in middle of a battle, but since the portal is sealed and it would take so much time to go to the other, they decided to follow the initial plan despite their concern.
And we start to get to the juicy part.
The authorities discover the bodies of the chimaeras, so they call the mentor of Eliza and they travel to find more about the beast that they found, but a colleague of hers who was jealous of her, discovers that Eliza was really Elazael, the descendant of a fallen angel. The horrible human set a trap to discredit Eliza and she loses everything. Later on, she meets with Akiva, Karou and the rest of the team and together they went to Italy to stop Jael, only that Eliza was in some kind of trance and she's slowly losing it.
When they arrived, the infamous fake grandma betrays them, but what she didn't foresaw was that Mik would've found the gavriels and other wish-granted-charms that she kept in the bathroom
Karou and Akiva, alongside with a chimaera, arrived in the Vatican to talk with Jael when they find that Esther betray them. Jael puts resistance and tries to kill Akiva who, thanks to magic, survived.
They fly to Eretz to end up with the madness and they found Thiago's body. Karou filled with sorrow, tries to touch the soul of Ziri, to bring him back, but it was gone from the body, until Liraz makes an appearance and says that she has Ziri's soul (I ship them so hard)
In the end, we discover that Eliza, thanks to Zuze and Mik (those two are so sweet), is part of the ones who will restore the natural order to Eretz against the true monsters and they, together will bring light to the many many worlds.
So that's it you guys. I really love this book and you definitely have to give it a try. I see you in the comments to know what were your favorite parts & characters. See ya very soon
