Book Review: F*ck Love by Tarryn Fisher

Oh God! I just love how Tarryn always have the perfect words. You're my Greer, my truth.

Well hi there! Welcome again. Today I'm talking about the most recent book of Fisher.  It was sweet, full of truth to the soul and real, like most of her books.

Synopsis:

It's a story about fate. Of never abandon your dreams, even though it would become hard to follow them. To be free and have adventures, take risk, after all, we only have one life. We have to make it count. It's all I will say, because I'm dying to talk about this book to the full. So, scroll down if you want to know more about it, and if you haven't read it, go to Amazon's or her web page to support her. She's so worth it

Spoiler Section:

Every time she launches a new book I'm like:

I knew this book was going to be epic since I saw the dedication. I love how fearless she is. Although I like the anticipation with her books, I knew that this book was very different from the others she wrote. It was, but at the same time, contains heartbreaking truths and it has her unique humor. Also, like I said, and always say: her writing. Those colors and sensations, are mind blowing.

The book chapters are all hashtags. How cool is that? I was maniatic laughing everytime I start a new chapter because, well, the story's hilarious (also very tender).
And the name of the first chapter was so suiting, because I couldn't stop scream WTF at the top of my lungs. It was not what I was expecting, and I love it! It's so refreshing reading her because she's unpredictable, and  we need those kinds of authors. The ones we don't get to guess where they're going.

So, we follow Helena through a dream that would change her forever. In this dream she has a Pottery Barn House with her best friend's boyfriend. Their kind of married and have two kids. Obviously, she's freaking out. Helena has a boyfriend (Neil) and she's fond of him, but besides that, Kit's with Della.

She wakes and the dream stays with her. That dream gave her truths. It made her think about who she was and what she wanted. She starts to change little things at first: like ordering wine instead of beer, and then big changes like going to art classes. Of course, change to those who doesn't actually see the world, are overwhelming, so her boyfriend Neil, starts to trying to made her feel bad about the change, so she backs off.

I get her perspective. Change it's hard and scarring, but if you don't dare, who else would? Fortunately, she has Kit. Her best friend boyfriend and "dream husband". He's supportive with her and keeps pushing her to follow her dreams. Pursuit the adventure, and just like that, he had my heart. He understand that change makes you lonely, because you start to see the flaws of the people around you, and sometimes you can overlook said flaws.

Della, her "best friend" it's one of those persons. She's too dependant of others, especially Helena & when she feels insecure, she just whines. I mean, where is her power? She's a young, beautiful lady, very lucky and she should appreciate the good things life has given her. Plus she was so ungrateful. Helena had a rough time taking care of you and your child. Imagine the repercussions on her feelings!

On a lighter and funny part: the pop culture references. I was fangirling with her the whole time! I was super thrilled that she was a Ravenclaw (my house), and changing like that would place her in Slytherin. Another one, was a reference to Mud Vein and the differences between the love of your life and your soulmate. I was beginning to think of doing the same selfie thing to post in here my reactions of this book. The funny moments of the muggles and the awkwardness of Helena.

And that douchebag of Neil was finally out of the picture. Dream-Kit was spot on him. Neil was a cheating scumbag, and it made so sad when she ask what did SHE do? You do nothing, sweetheart. That guy is the one who should feel like shit and ashame, because he play with something good as you. And I can assure you, that Sadie girl is nothing compare to you. But please, could you punch him again? I was laughing and cheering you at the same time.

I like though that we get to see girl power in this story and the fate of those who doesn't own it. Take for instance, Sadie was and always will be the second one and Della, who digs her own grave at being insecure and a selfish bitch.

And finally, Helena gets it! She doesn't need a man to follow her dreams. She just go with it and moves to PT. And I was so proud of her. That she gets that the world it's waiting for us. And yes, fate was pulling the strings here, but like Greer said, that's what destiny does. It pulls us to new things and sometimes, we don't get to choose, but to embrace it.

And another shout out for that magnificent purple fairy. She make a mistake. It was horrible, but: that's fate! It comes unexpectedly, but that doesn't mean that it won't leave you with something good and honest. We have to work for it, absolutely, but it's worth it (I'll give anything to take Greer out of the book and become best friends with her)

Now, dear Kit. As much as I love you... What the f*ck dude! You talk about timing, but it was your fault. After she told you that she was in love with you, and you didn't chase... that was coward from you. Why stay with someone that doesn't make you happy and the other way around. It's bound to hurt people. You accused Helena of running and unconsciously you were doing the same. She didn't have it easy. She was going through some serious things like the guilt of being in love with you and the consequences it would caused on Della. So how you could blame her for running

Although, I got scared when Muslim get in the picture. For a minute I thought that she would actually would go with him. I wouldn't blame her, but she fight so hard for him that it would be a shame if she just give up.

So I think that's it guys. I can't help but to extend this review because, well, it's a Tarryn Fisher book. Tell me down bellow in he comment section what were your favorite parts and I'll see you very soon, byyyyyye.

Hamilton Book Tag!

I'm so obsessed with this musical, that I just couldn't help doing this tag. MAUREENKEAVY made this tag in her booktube channel, I had to give it a try. Hamilton tells the story of one of the founding fathers: Alexander Hamilton. It's a superb musical with R&B - Hip-Hop music. Remember to support the artist and you could get the music in iTunes or you can listen it in Spotify. Let's begin!

Question #1:

A book world you would put yourself into

I definitely want to be in The Wizarding World created by J.K Rowling. I mean, traveling to Hogwarts every year and make magic? It would be my dream come true.

Question #2:

An underrated female character

I think that I would say Cammie, the best friend of Olivia Kaspen in the Love Me With Lies trilogy by Tarryn Fisher. That woman is funny and strong and independant. I really enjoy reading her as every woman I read from Tarryn Fisher.

Question #3:

A character that goes after what they want and doesn't let anything stop them

Of course I would say: Louisa Clark of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. She's determined and strong, confident and that's what make the book so beautiful. Her childlike excitement was heart melting. The charts and the plans. I have a special place in my heart for her.

Question #4

The most heartbreaking end to a relationship you ever read

This goes for Senna & Isaac from Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher (you know that I'm obsessed with her books, but they're so great). And the end of their relationship was one I still mourn. It was something that you didn't see it coming. Those two have the worst timing!

Question #5

Sassiest Villain

This is a hard one. I think I would say Valentine of The Mortal Instrument Series by Cassandra Clare. He has very dark humor. I mean, telling Clary & Jace that they were brothers. He's horrible and a fascist dude, but when you look back, you can laugh at his attempts of world domination (at least I did).

Question #6:

A book with a twist that you didn't see coming

ALLEGIANT! By Veronica Roth
So this is the story of my doom. I was on Facebook, living my readers life, and a dude was just like: What do you think about this. AND I JUST GOT THE BOOK. I didn't even read the first chapter and I already knew the end. Of course, I was horrified and I had to finish it so I could know why that happened. I hate it and it's still give me nightmares so I'm thinking of making a campaign: "For A World Free Of Spoilers"

Question #7

A series you marathoned

I tend to do marathons. I like when the story it's whole, because I'm a very impatient reader, so I HAVE TO KNOW how it ends. But I'm going to pick The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, because I haven't talk about it. I finish it in three days. I practically didn't eat or sleep until I finish it. I liked the story, was refreshing and cute. Even though my ship sink like the Titanic.

Question #8

Favorite book with multiple PoVs

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. It was sad and funny and bittersweet. We get to know the next main characters of the Dark Artifices Trilogy and it melt my heart. So, yeah: Praise for Cassie's books.

Question #9

A book/series you'll feel like will be remembered throughout history

For this I have two answers. The first being obviously Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. It's part of every child's life. It is for me and it would always have my heart. Nevertheless, I also want to pick The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Those books came into my life like a thunder. They are so powerful and revolutionary that I hope that people would remember them through the ages (I definitely would).

Question #10 (and final)

A character you wish was still alive

*This answer contains a Spoiler of the Lux Series.
This could go sideways pretty quickly. There's a long list of characters, but I would go for Adam Thompson of the Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. He was funny and sweet and I would like to bring him back from the dead to hug him and never ever let him go again.

So that's it guys! Tell me in the comment section your opinion of this book tag and if you want a review of some of these books. I'll see ya in the next post, byyyyyyyye.

Book Review: Marrow by Tarryn Fisher

So, you're back hiddeus Saphira...

Welcome again folks! Today I'm talking about another Tarryn Fisher book. Every book of her it's different and refreshing so join me in this book talk & Let's begin!

Synopsis:

Margo Moon lives in a God-forgotten-town called the Bone. Her whole life she has known and seen suffering, until one day she turns herself in this dark vigilante. Beware humans, here comes Margo Moon. So that's all I can say without spoilers. After all, it's a thriller. Now if you want, you can scroll down to the spoiler section.

Spoiler Section:

I have to thank again Tarryn Fisher for taking me out off of my comfort zone.  I didn't read much of this genre and thank God that my first book was a good one. When I read a book of Fisher I always like to read it without any information of the book. You can't know where the spoilers are. If a person tells you that the book has a plot twist, your minds get invested in that and you're expecting it. As for me, I like to begin her books in blank. But when I finish it, I had to look for answers, so I went first to her web page, and found the reason why she wrote Marrow. I was so happy that she did, that way horrible humans can know what's waiting for them if they misbehave (Of course, I'm joking... Am I?).

Anyhow, we follow Margo since she was a child and the horrible life she (and every person in the town) has/had/has in the Bone. There're drugs and prostitution and children abuse. She spent most of her life alone until a boy comes into her life: Judah Grant. He's gorgeous and kind & smokes pot (that was hilarious), but most important, he has a disability: He's in a wheelchair.

Her "life" goes on & one day, a little girl (Nevaeh) that she knew disappears in a mysterious way, in the meantime our superhero takes her first victim: her neighborhood who was beating her baby. It was spontaneous and she didn't really knew why she actually kill her. Obviously, taking a live takes it's toll on young Margo, who consumed with guilt ask herself if killing her was worth it. But she didn't have much time to process it.

Every person in the Bone tries to find Nevaeh, and the police did find the child, she was murderer. Margo, wrecked by the loss of someone so young killed that way, goes after the killer. And oh, she finds her: it was Nevaeh's mother. Now, who murders her own child?! You have to be a soulless monster  to do that. Margo wants revenge and she has it (She burned the monster down).

Now she has her own mother on the watch. Margo finds a box in the oven, in it was a baby corpse. Her mother didn't stop there and she dies in a own-making-miscarriage, of course Margo could've do something like cal 911, but she didn't want to do it. Margo tries to also killed her father but fails. After that, she takes the money that her mother earned selling her body, and leaves the Bone.

She starts a new life as a waitress in Seattle, but her murderer side cannot be put to sleep and she does it again: a guy in an alley who tried to rape a girl who find online. She didn't meant to kill that time. It was just that wrong place, wrong time kind of thing, although, I liked it.

Life goes on until, in a park she sees a weird guy lurking around on the child part of the park. Sensing wrongness, Margo starts stalking him to know what was wrong with the dude. Unfortunately again she couldn't do anything for the victim and arrived to late. The guy was a rapist, and he rapes a woman in a parking lot of a mall.

Goddamnit. The whole book was like watching the news, and I just wish that every felon could read this to put the fear of God in their bones. Anyway, Margo filled with guilt goes after the rapist to end with his life, the problem was that Margo was so self-centered that he overpowers her and send her (with a supposed intent of suicide) to a psychiatric center.

In that center, she knows lovely and purring Saphira Elgin. The queen of the crazy. And I just lose it. I don't trust that woman AT ALL. She's as crazy as her patients, which incidentally, we get to see that that's the same place they took Senna form Mud Vain to recover. I was fangirling so hard! But at the same time, I wanted to choke Elgin to dead.

So when she tells Margo that his beloved Judah killed himself I didn't buy it for a second. I mean, that woman is sick. And what pissed me off the most, was that she believed her. Of course the purring b*tch had proofs of the accident, but I mean, c'mon! But, I remembered something (after I re-read it, that is). There's this literary theory that claims that if you don't see it or experienced, in that very second, it doesn't exist. So what if (and it's a big if) that's what this is about. Judah does exist but under this principle. He exist when Margo sees him and smell him.

And I'mma be honest, this give me goose bumps. It's thrilling that she uses that kind of resources and techniques. And even if she didn't (I don't want to know the truth, though), let's guess that he doesn't exist, this fact kept us up till late hours pondering theories and making guesses and it's so beautiful!
Those last chapters, when she leaves the asylum and goes after that b*stard Leroy and castrates him, it's so powerful. It's the perfect punishment. Go Margo!

And her return to the Bone, oh God, the fact that you can't escape your roots. That they call you, that you have them in your marrow (even if you don't want to be part of that trashy place) It's a shout to never forgive who you are. And maybe a place doesn't define you, but it's a part of who you are and you should be proud of it, and if you're not, then make a move to change it into a better place. Maybe not the way of Margo did, because regrettably it's ilegal, but still...

Anyway, tell me in the comment section what was your favorite part, or your thoughts of perfect Judah, or just what you have for dinner. I will see you in the next post, byyyyyye.

Book Review: Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher

Well, hello. Welcome Again! Today I'm gonna talk about Mud Vein. It's a stand alone and one of my favorite books of Fisher. Well, let's begin!

Synopsis:

Senna Richards a great renown writer wakes in a freezing place and she doesn't know where that is. The story it's a journey of emotions and she better throws every memory to find out who kidnapped her. It's a game and she has to play with the psycho to get out and recover her freedom. And that's all I can say without spoilers. Scroll down & share feelings with me.

Spoiler Section:

One of the things I like of Tarryn's books it's that I feel everything (other than her poetic, beautiful writing). I was hyperventilating with the mere thought of being kidnapped. Senna was freezing and alone and terrified and I swear that it was scaring me. In this book we go back and forth the present and the past (a technique I love and more if it comes from Tarryn Fisher). The first chapters are about her fear of being taken and the emotional shock of seeing a guy from her past: Isaac  Asterholder.

She's trapped with the love of her life, even if she doesn't recognizes it, we can tell, and they both don't know who take them. Isaac's a married doctor and he hasn't seeing Senna for a very long time. She's a famous writer who doesn't know how to deal with life. She doesn't hear music with letters, only instrumental. Never goes out of her house, except for walking and running in the mornings.

The present interactions in the snow house with Isaac were melting my heart. The life she had was horrible. She thought nobody would give a f*ck if she was missing because she actually had no one in her life. The way Isaac and she met, was traumatizing and of course she was afraid of humanity. It's only natural and bound to happened.

They met when Senna was raped. She was running on this morning Christmas to clear her mind, she went through the woods and this psycho ruined her life. Isaac lived nearby and saw her running away from the woods, took her to the hospital and a weird routine was established. He went to her house to fed and take care of her. She's diagnosed with cancer shortly after she met Isaac and he practically force her to see a therapist. Of course she was heartbroken, and she blow away any chance of a relationship because she couldn't see past the bad.

Now, how could she know that he was going to improve her life if she only lived traumatizing things? She didn't know better. She was blind of the great things in life because she never experienced them before and couldn't recognize the beauty of it. And she's not the one to blame, she needed time to process everything.

They were so close of dying in that house. They were forced to acknowledge feelings and it was scary. They were wrecked physically and emotionally and when she finally realizes that what Isaac and her have/had was true-to-the-marrow love, they were "free to go". They end up in a hospital, the zookeeper was the therapist and she's in prison (later she kills herself). The therapist, Saphira Elgin kidnapped them to show Senna that it was more in life that just living. That it's hard but beautiful at the same time. Better if you filled it with love, but it was a sick way of showing her. She could just tell her and leave her alone if she didn't get it.

Anyhow, Senna finally knows that love exists and that life it's beautiful, but that doesn't mean that she would end up with the love of her life. He's married now and has a child and it would be wrong if she takes that away from him. She has cancer again and she leaves to see the world with her new eyes, while Isaac returns with his wife & child.

So, that's what life it's about folks. We live, we suffer but we have to know that it's only temporary. That life is more than hurt and loneliness. We have ourselves, we're never alone. We have this amazing world waiting to know about us, so take advantage of that. Don't ling on suffering, make something good with it. Like writing a blog about books, work hard, or travel or just be in love. Do what you love and love what you do. I will always have a place in my heart for this book, and if you read it, tell me in the comments the parts where you cried or what you love about it, and we see in another post. Byyye.

Number One: J.K. Rowling

She means a lot to me. Harry Potter is my childhood, my everything. She taught me to be brave and caring. I still remember the first time I read her and the magic beyond every word & I'm forever grateful for my parents who bought me the first book. She taught me to never, NEVER be ashamed of who I am, to never give up my dreams. You have a little piece of my heart and soul. She's crazy guys, but in such a good way! One of the things I'm forever grateful for it's her writing skills. That woman has not know fear. She just writes what she wants to say and doesn't give a rat's ass, and that's amazing. That's what we need. The knowledge that sometimes life it's hard and that you have to fight to make it better, to make something good about the bad. That not everything is rainbows and chocolate cake, and it's refreshing reading something like that. Also, her writing. Oh, Jesus, it's out of this world. It's easy to dive into, poetic and real. Women in her books know how to defend herselfs, are independant and strong. Her books are never dull, and will stay with you forever.

The first time I read her, I was freaking out. They were my first fantasy books after Harry Potter, and to be honest, I was afraid that they wouldn't stick. I was very, very wrong. Her writing captivated me. It's so easy to love her characters. And on the surface, they seem easy going, but in reality their complicated and deep. The stories of each character stay with you, and teach you a lot of things. They're epic, and you can't re-read them as much as you like, and it would never get old.

She's always challenging herself and that's what I liked about authors, that they take risks. The stories are never dull and they always want you to meditate your actions and, if you're screwing something up, change it, because you only have one life. That's so good, 'cause now a days the kids just bump into action without thinking, and her books can change that, it change me at least, and I just wish that everyone would read her. So now you know. Book Review: Thief by Tarryn Fisher

I hate when I finish one of her books, because they're so great!

Synopsis:

Well hello, welcome again! So, this is the last book on the trilogy Love Me With Lies and I can't believe that we're saying goodbye to the characters. The were magnificent, real and they made my heart ache with their story. For me, it was the first time i read something like this. The undiluted truth. No sugar coated words.  Just a story of humans behaving like humans. Making mistakes and being so passionate about their lives. I will miss reading them, and I can't tell you how grateful I was for Tarryn Fisher's existence. She made my reader life better.

Spoiler Section:

Finally Caleb (the main voice in this book) clears some of the blanks for us. Like the house he bought to live with Olivia. part of the reason of that first fall out. It made me very sad, to see how much they loved each other but that annoying stubbornness of their pair kept them apart.

In this book, I fell (more) in love with him. He starts to stand out for her and he gives a rat's ass the opinion of the others. It was beautiful and sad at the very same time because Leah, lovely Leah gets in the way again. Honestly woman! Go live with the penguins! (Poor penguins, though)

Leah threatens Olivia. She would never tell Caleb that Stella's his daughter and he will never see the baby again if Olivia doesn't leave Caleb, and of course, a baby is top priority, so she leaves him AGAIN.

Caleb, heartbroken, moves to London and then starts a legal battle against Leah for his rights as a parent of Stella. (Take that, bitch!)
We see more of the past with him & Olivia, and when i read about the fake amnesia I lost it. Their love it's so strong. It's a hurricane of emotions with these two. Yes, they both make mistakes, and the cost was too much. He lost his family and she lost a part of her soul, but al least, in the end, they finally have each other to rely on.
I will never see the color blue the same way, specifically the aiport blue kind. I appreciate more the love and passion behind every action I make and all of these thanks to a girl that wanted to tell a story way beyond the parameters. I'm grateful for her writing and, well, tell me on the comments which were your favorite parts of the trilogy. For now that's it, and we'll see again very soon, byyyye.

Book Review: Dirty Red by Tarryn Fisher

Well, hello!

Synopsis:

This is the second book of the trilogy Love Me With Lies and the story now is on the hands of the infamous Leah and we will found out more of the secrets of her past and the reason why she's a horrible human being. So, if you read it, scroll down and remember, leave me your opinion because I'm here to listen to your feelings. And if you haven't read it, you live under a rock? Go read it! You won't regret it.

Spoiler Section:

I thought that this book was the perfect opportunity to learn more about her and understand her motives. But I think that it just made me more angry. The story begins with she being afraid of being a mother entails, and for a couple of pages I was fond of her (obviously she was broken), and I wanted to give her a chance to redime herself, but the way she treats her daughter? leaving her in a care center alone, without food, & with cold meanwhile she was getting wasted? That made me hate her.

Later on we discover that she was an adoptive children and that maybe that's what made her what she was, but with more reason! She should've filled her child with love (I'm not a mom but, I assume that you want to give them a better world and protect them from harm)

We also know one of her best friends: Katin Reinlaskz. WHY? Why is she friends with someone who likes to take you through the mud?! And the whole drama that happens when his father died leaving her with thousands of problems (legal problems), ending up with an almost-suicide of her sister Courtney. Oh man. I was so sorry for her (I almost stab myself for feeling bad for her).

}

The nanny that Caleb pick for baby Stella was a friend of Cammie and I was laughing every time she appeared. We see the birthday party of Olivia where Leah meets Noah and was flirting with him. I mean, WHY LEAH WHY?!
But, she had to throw away the qualities that redimed her in all of those chapters of the past by telling Caleb that he wasn't the father of Stella, which of course, he believes her.

And that how the book ends. Let's hope that in the last book we can get a happy ending with Caleb and Olivia and Leah in a prison or living with the penguins so they could be happy without her greedy shadow lurking around. So that's it guys. Tell me in the comments if, after this book, you hate her or, like me, you admit she has her moments. I'll see ya in the next review.

Book Review: The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher

Let the madness begins...

Synopsis:

It's the story of Olivia and Caleb. A story filled with good and bad decisions, intrigue and the most important, a story of love that it's more strong than my morning coffee. I'm terrible at doing this synopsis, i know, but I don't want spoilers in this section, that's why you have to keep scrolling, dear reader.

Spoiler Section:
The story begins in a music shop. The main character, Olivia Kaspen and she's freaking out at the sight of her lost love. We don't know who the guy is, just that there was a very dark and obscure orbe of misfortune surrounding them. When she approaches him, Caleb Drake doesn't remember anything. The guy has freaking amnesia! As the story unfolds we get to know how these two characters meet. They were so different, yet, they were perfect for each other. They've met in the university, and since then we've seen how strong and independant woman Olivia is. It's empowering reading about a woman that fights back and stands for herself.

But she has flaws (obviously, she's human, folks!). She's distrustful and for that, she tends to second guess everything, which led the horrible ups and downs with Caleb. Although this man doesn't bites the dust. He didn't try to speak up! That's part of the problem: comunication ladies and gentlemen. He seems to be more afraid of her than being actually in love with her. They make some mistakes, they both have guilt in the break up, and now, Caleb fakes his amnesia to recover the love of his life. But it's not late? Well if this trilogy taught me something, it's that it's never to late to make things right.

Caleb was already in a relationship. And I don't' want to defend Leah, but, dude if you're with someone, you're supposed to be 100% with that person. And if you can't commit, then don't make promises. Of course, Leah is crazy and a horrible human being, but, in her own twisted way, she suffered too.

Anyway, Leah and Caleb end up married (another mistake my beautiful british hot Caleb), and Olivia moves to Texas to live with Cammie, her best friend. Cammie character was a relief. Because there were many times in which I wanted to get into the story and slapped Olivia and Caleb, and Cammie would just show up and stand beside her friend and said something very funny or sarcastic, and the sun shined again

Olivia and Caleb are always after each other, whether they wanted it or not. It was their destiny to always find each other. Unfortunately, Leah take Caleb to Rome to get pregnant. Olivia finds out and went after them. In the flight she meets this guy named Noah, and she arrives in Rome to late. The book ends with Olivia marrying this Noah. Needless to say that I don't trust him

Tarryn has a God-given natural talent with letters. They just flood from her. Her stories are fascinating, real and strong. She will leave you with book hangover and you'll be begging for more of her books.
Tell me in the comment section your thoughts and we see in another post.

Book Review: Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma

Hi there!

Synopsis:

We follow the Whitely family and their struggles. Young Lochan has to call the shots because his mother is negligent. Alongside with his sister Maya will learn what love is. I can say anything else because they're spoliers. I know that it's a story full of controversy, but I can but help that people- almost never - talk about it. I don't know if it's for shame or something else, but believe, you will never see the world the same once you've read it. Tabitha's writing it's real and honest and I always appreciate a little of that in a book.
Nevertheless, let's move to the spoilers, because it's killing me not to discussed this with the world.

Spoiler Section:

The story begins with Lochan and his anxiety problems. This make my heart explode, because well, school it's always a little overwhelming, the kids are extremely cruel  and that's realism it's something that  every reader appreciates. After school, Lochan has more deep troubles. His mother is alcoholic, his father went and re-married and stopped looking for him and his other four brothers and sisters.  Then Maya, his sister it's introduced and it melt my frozen heart the relationship between her and the youngest of the siblings, Willa.

We get to see the daily lives of these family, the worries for pay the bills, the worries to look out for every brother & sister. And it makes me sad, because it's not a situation that we only see in books or t.v. shows, that's a real, disgusting reality and I'm so glad that there are books that stands out for those who doesn't have a voice.

I''m gonna be honest, when I get to the part where Maya and Lochan starts their relationship I was confused and a little off balance. Because "that's not supposed to happened" but, is it? I mean who are we to judge love? It just happens. Why? Well, I don't know. Even though it would never be my case, doesn't mean that I get to judge.

This book, for me, was a wakeup call. To not judge what I don't know, to see the horrors this world holds, but also, I get to see what love could do to a family, even though it's not standard, it's pure and they give up so much for their brothers.

I'm glad I saw this book, because it made me curious, and when I ended, well yeah, I was in tears. I didn't want Lochan to die and Maya made me anxious and so sad because she was so determined to end everything, to be free and young (as every girl in her age should be),  and well to be able to mourn the dead of Loch, but I knew that she would have the support of her family. That she wasn't entirely alone.

I'm glad this book exist. It's beautiful and powerful and it would stay with me the rest of my days.

Book Tag: Book Disease

I saw this tag in a youtube channel, the problem is that I can remember in which one. Anyhow, here's the link of the blog where I see it.

Let's begin!

Question #1: Diabetes: A very sweet book.

This is a tricky one. I think that I would have to say:

Title: Me Before You (first book)
Duology
Author: Jojo Moyes
Publisher: Penguin Books
Genre: Contemporary
Age: New Adult
Funny Parts: Hell yeah
Moving: Definitely
Rating: 5-5 Stars

I think this book is very sweet. Though, in the end, it becomes bittersweet.

Title: Allegiant (third book)
Trilogy/Saga: Divergent Series
Author: Veronica Roth
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books
Genre: Dystopian
Age: Young Adult
Funny Parts: Few
Action: To the roof tops
Moving: Definitely
Rating: 3-5 Stars

Now, don't get me wrong. The book was very good and moving and full with action, but that ending?! Yeah, that didn't do it for me. You have my tears, Roth.

Question #3: Flu: Book that spreads like a virus.

Title: The Fault in Our Stars
Stand Alone
Author: John Green
Publisher: Penguin Books

This book is beautiful, though, every time I turned around, I will see it. Staring at me.

Of course I will pick one of the books of Tarryn. I love her writing and the psique of the characters. Stay in the blog to see the Book Reviews.

Title: An Abundance of Katherines
Stand Alone
Author: John Green
Publisher: Speak
Genre: Contemporary
Age: Young Adult
Funny Parts: Can't remember
Moving: Can't remember
Rating: ?-5 Stars

It makes me really sad(?) not remember this book, because it's John Green. I loved Looking for Alaska and obviously TFIOS and not to mention Paper Towns, but this one? I think that I read it, but I can't know for sure. I need a re-read.

Title: Forbidden
Stand Alone
Author: Tabitha Suzuma
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Genre: Contemporary

Funny Parts: Few, almost none existing

The writing of Suzuma is amazing. Its poetic and rich. It stole my breath away not just because of the controversy that surrounds this book, but for the angst and sorrow that the characters went through. If you've read this book, tell me on the comments your thoughts.

Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books
Genre: Urban Fantasy

I waited for this book. I was longing for it. But the END of this book. What was that Oliver? It left me hanging. I know that you did it with a purpose but, seriously? I was hoping for more. It's still a good book, I loved the series, but, the end of the end. I just say that it didn't count for me.
